Enter into the world of carbon wheels with the Mavic Cosmic Pro Carbon Road Wheels. Combining an alloy braking surface with carbon rims makes the best of both worlds, and brings these wheels into a more budget friendly price point.
To keep the hubs lightweight, Mavic uses a carbon shell in front combined with aluminium flanges. The freewheel is steel for long term durability, and can be converted to Campagnolo standard with a freewheel sold separately.
The internal Maxtal alloy rim is bonded to a 12k carbon outer flange. The 45mm deep NACA profile rim section balances aerodynamics with climbing prowess, maintaining stability even in crosswinds. The rims are stiff and light, thanks to the carbon, transferring power effectively to the road.
With 16 spokes in front and 20 in the rear, weight is kept to a minimum. The double butted, bladed steel spokes add further aerodynamic efficiency and are radially laced in the front and have the Isopulse pattern in the rear.
The Mavic Cosmic Pro Carbon Road wheels comes with Yksion Pro tyres in 25c size. The front tyre gets Mavic’s GripLink compound that offers excellent grip, while the rear has the PowerLink compound for super low rolling resistance. This gives a perfect balance between fast riding and cornering control.
